Rollings family tree

Origins of the name

The Rollings name can be traced back to the 1600s, in Lancashire. In the 1700s it is found in Shropshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire. In the 1800s it is found in just about every county in England.

Famous family

There are many Rollings to be found on the WW1 Roll of Honours in many places, for example, a Thomas Rollings born 1885, son of Charles Rollings from Marbourne, Huntingtonshire, was in the 62nd Battalion Machine Gun corps. He fought in Flanders and France and died in July 1918, age 33 south of Rheims.

A William Rollings can be found on a list of paying £10.00 voters in 1834. Today the Rollings can be found in all types of occupations, in most industries. Micheal Rollings is the candidate in Tewkesbury for the UKIP, Susan Rollings is an auther of children's books, the list goes on and on.
