The name Dallow can be found in three areas in the 1500s, Shropshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire. During the 1600s the name appeared in Staffordshire, London and Kent. They generally stayed in those areas until the 1800s when they appear in many other parts of the UK. They appear in America in the 1700s and Australia in the 1800s.

The name today

Early records show a marriage between Martha Dallow and William Horrod in 1662 in Gloucestershire. The link to the Wellham name comes from the descendants of Joseph Dallow born 1824 of Stoke Bliss. He married Anne born 1822. They had a son Joseph Dallow born 1855, he married Mary born 1861 also of Stoke Bliss. Their daughter Ellen Dallow married William George Watkins. They had a daughter Doris Watkins born 1918, she married Edwin Bullock born 1915 of Madersfield, Malvern. They had a son Anthony James Bullock who married Christine Sylvia Dunkley. They had three daughters, Debbie, Diane and Sally. Anthony later re-married Patricia Nunney and had a son. Diane Bullock married Simon Wellham of Worcester, they had two sons Jamie and Luke Wellham.
